Nice ruby color, aroma subtle, cherry, very very subdued aroma - includes, some faint leather/earth notes... Flavor - nice pinot notes, raspberry, blueberry, cherry, leather, earth, tobacco, long finish, fairly acidic still... Had with pasta and veal parmagiano (very very very good food match) complemented the mozzorella cheese extremely well...all in all a good Burgundy (I paid $24 for it a little over a year ago) Stored in cellar temp controlled (58 - 62 deg F) not moved for 3 months I would rate this wine a 93 , excellent stylistically, price wise, and complex, I enjoy complex wines, even ones which may be very subtle, as many Burgundies are. Mercurey is not my favorite AOC in Burgundy but htis is a good, affordable example.

A tremendous achievement. A wonderful balance of honeysuckle, orange zest, and raw honey with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg spice on the finish. Opulent and well structured, with trendous mouthfeel that is lithe yet well rounded. Sublime.

Highly spiced but also a little floral. Intense bitter orange, highly concentrated, very rich and thick and mouth-filling and less fresh than some vintages but still balanced in a richer, more rounded and powerful style. Needs more age to add complex... Jancis Robinson. A Sauternes Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Climens 375ml

The deep color implies how richly draped this wine is in botrytis; its exotic scents and complex flavors bear the stamp as well. Honey more honey and a little hazelnut in the end. Voluptuous now this wine s complexity will gain prominence with age. Wine & Spirits.

Enticing and fragrant nose of apricot and peach that provide the base for zesty citrus notes above and a trace of deeper honey notes underneath. Full-bodied and viscous on the palate where candied orange and citrus flavors dominate. Picks up a bit o... John Perry. Intensely rich very perfumed wine full of apples and honey flavors. There is also fresh fruit but the richness dominates showing some dry botrytis flavors to finish. Wine Enthusiast.
