Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2008
External Reviews for Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley
Pale yellow. Pungent grapefruit skin, lemon, musky herbs and fig on the soil-driven nose. Then supple and aromatic in the mouth, with citrus, melon and fig flavors and a firm vein of acidity leavening the wine's fat. Idiosyncratic but interesting sauvignon, finishing with attractive floral perfume.
Crisp and refreshing, offering vibrant ruby grapefruit and grassy citrus notes, with ripe nectarine flavors. Light and lively, this is graceful, harmonious and very tasty. Drink now.
Vibrant, bursting with fresh mandarin orange juice and tropical whiffs of mango and passion fruit, but also plenty of grass and hay notes. There's a very refreshing acidity, and the flavors sing on the finish. Drink now through 2014.
Readers should not forget the delicious 2008 Sauvignon Blanc (100% Sauvignon). Aged in a combination of primarily stainless steel and about 28% French oak, it offers crisp, flinty grapefruit notes intermixed with fresh citrus and a hint of orange blossom. This fresh, lively mid-weight Sauvignon should be consumed over the next year.
Pale, bright yellow. Musky grapefruit, crushed stone, clove oil, pepper and a light fusel note on the nose. Dense, ripe and tactile, with strong stone and spice flavors carrying through in the mouth. Good chewy sauvignon with a slight harshness on the back end.
Their fresh, delicious lemon blossom, fig, and melon-infused 2007 Sauvignon Blanc has more texture than one normally associates with Sauvignon Blanc, but beautiful crispness and vibrancy. Drink it over the next year.
A floral, grassy style, with tart green apple, lime, and sour lemon drop flavors. Vivid and intense, with mouthwatering acidity and persistence on the finish. Drink now.
