What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

81% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Pinot Blanc, 4% Chenin Blanc and 3% Muscat

The 2007 vintage was an ideal growing season with moderate temperatures from bloom until veraison. High August temperatures and low rainfall throughout the season contributed to a low yield and early harvest for all white varietals.

Our 2007 blend is a unique blend of our favorite white varietals. Sauvignon Blanc makes up the backbone and structure of the wine while Pinot Blanc adds a fleshy and tropical note. Chenin Blanc increases the purity and acidity of the blend. The Muscat adds a sweetness of read more...

My new favorite white daily drinker! A blend of four grapes: 81% Sauv Blanc, 12% Pinot Blanc, 4% Chenin Blanc, and 3% Muscat. It's got great acidity from the Sauv Blanc, but the other grapes lend a nice, fruity roundness. Extremely food-friendly (had it with Thai last night!) and drinkable. Tastes great on its own as well.

A well designed label perks my curiosity as does organic fruit. Pineapple on the nose, with a toasty nutty mouth feel and a semi hot finish for a white wine. Overall I'm fairly impressed and would like to get my hands on another bottle to further investigate.

If I was trapped on a deserted island I'm sure I would survive. I think the Climber White really makes you feel that way as it is a hearty blend of four (of my favorite) varietals. Pineapple and almonds dominate the nose with the headiness of a tropical isle. It's light bodied enough to be refreshing with hint of tart crispness that makes you long for it on hot days. I love that the nuttiness is carried through to the finish. If I was going to be trapped on a deserted island and could only take three things. . . . well, I would have a deck of cards, a hammock, and a bottle of Climber White.

I'm proud these outdoor lifestyle cool kids are delving into the wine world! This wine is made from organic grapes for starters, so I'm really curious; it's my first dabble into organic grapes. The nose is tarty and lightly sweet, with some grapefruit in there. The taste however was GREAT! A unique mixture of butter, pineapple, some nutty-goodness with a perfectly balanced mouthfeel. The alcohol content, 14.2% is a great level for this wine, letting things finish off with just the right amount of warmness. Very well done!

Good white blend, made with a core of Sauvignon Blanc and the addition of Pinot Blanc (!2%), Chenin Blanc (4%) and Muscat (3%). The result is a wine with good acidity but an impression of softness--if not quite sweetness--that makes this a very versatile wine. Aromas of pink grapefruit and nectarine. Flavors of Meyer lemon, nectarine, and peach. Fantastic value at under $13 MSRP. Will basically go with everything.

This is the kind of white wine that I think will grow on people. There's something very intriguing about the range of flavors this wine offers, and with every sip it is revealing something new! The nose is a tropical bonfire, kiwis and pineapples with some more domestic pears and honey, with a hint of just-lit matches. It is tart on the palette, and the pineapples REALLY stand out through the mid-palette. There's also a very distinct honey-roasted peanut component, which is nice. The finish is waves of tartness, making me salivate and go for another sip. A nice circular experience!
