a dry, crisp and full of flavors classic champagne. the yellow label looks like gold in a fine glass. some baked apple & brioche on the nose. with a hint of toast and nuts although a bit harsh initially, with aeration became smoother.
Tart and dry, but not a bad Champagne if you're feeling like going authentic.
One of my favorites

One of the best vintages since the great 2002 this is a sophisticated fruit- and yeast-driven wine. It has a delicate touch with its white fruit flavors well integrated into the toasty and tangy texture. It will age for many more years. Wine Enthusiast.
Sleek, with mouthwatering acidity and an aromatic base note of chalky minerality, this features well-meshed flavors of black currant pâte de fruit, pastry, candied ginger and almond skin. The finely detailed, creamy mousse lends lasting finesse to the finish. Drink now through 2025.
A cool, youthfully rich 2004, this starts from an austere place and grows increasingly expressive as it opens in the glass. Complex depths of flavor develop out of a white fruit note, layering chalk and lime-citrus notes with cedar and pale smoke. Approachable now with enough air, this will develop beautifully over the next ten years.
This fresh Champagne offers a lively bead and a smoky mineral-tinged base note. Flavors of poached apple and pear dried cherry bread dough and lemon zest lead to a finish of good intensity and length. Very zesty. Drink now through 2022.

The wine has a deep pink colour with coppery, luminous glints. Abundant streams of light, delicate bubbles rise delicately to the surface before gently disappearing. The first nose is dominated by elegant aromas of red berry (redcurrant, blackcurrant) and firm fruits (wild strawberry, red plum, cherry). Fragrant hints of violet and lilac evoke the scents of springtime and autumnal notes (dried fruit, Spanish membrillo and dried fig) gradually come to the fore, together with a light touch of ground coffee or cocoa. The attack is clean and dynamic. The wine is full and textured with a long, mellow finish (honey and almond). It combines a distinct structure with strikingly fresh flavours (liquorice, aniseed). In the mouth, the fruitiness echoes the superb notes of the nose and is particularly intense. The finish is extraordinarily long. The subtle balance of structure, suppleness and freshness offers this wine an ageing potential of at least 20 years.
Food Pairings for Clicquot la Grande Dame Rose
The nose, extremely elegant, at first reveals flavours of ripe red fruits that burst on the tongue before gradually giving way to violets, lilacs and light 'pastry' notes. A discreet touch of ground coffee can also be distinguished. The attack is fortright and energetic.
