Editorial Reviews for Clerc Milon Pauillac
Smoky, tight and fairly fruity not he nose with quite fresh black cherry, black currant fruit with a thin veneer of oak and some herbal detail. While a bit lighter styled in the mouth this is fairy tannic, yet fresh in the mouth. Not terribly expressive today, this shows a bit of mineral on the backend, and turns a little tough and short on the finish but with great fresh black currant fruit. time should be kind here. 89pts
Sweet, almost strawberry scented nose with note of leather, creamy milk chocolate, and light oak spices – creamy entry, brightened by soft tannins which are very well integrated into the crisp red fruits, short finish, a bit simple but fresh and fruity (87-88)
Wine: Chateau Clerc Milon 2007 Region: Pauillac Appearance: crystal-clear, shining, garnet, medium colour intensity, Give me fresh feelling. Smell: sound nose, intense aroma, fine bouquet, blackberry Taste: pleasant, medium dry, medium sweet, moderately tannic, well-integrated tannins, round, agreeable alcoholic strength Overall impression: harmonious, elegant. taste in Pomerol Wines Changsha China. 16/20 Points
Nose: Flint stone smoke. Currant, black berries Taste: Young and tannic. Packed with black fruit, black currant and spice. Needs time. I would give it 3-5 more years.
A bright colored wine with lots of roasted fruit and leather flavors. The red berry core with hints of chocolate and spice lasts up to the finish. Incredibly concentrated. Delicious.
Full bodied with a tanic undertone. Very good, not amazing for the price. $75 VW
red currant , black cherries, and a touch of subtle, vanilla oak, with a fresh mid palate that is powerful and yet retains finesse, with a concentrated and dry finish. A slight flash of new world wine making here, but it's lush and the tannins along with the acidity help out. Should prove to be a stellar one. Decant for least 4+ hours, or cellar for several years, and hold your breath for the magic.
Very Young but after 1 1/2 hr in the decanter, I could have almost thought I was drinking its bigger brother for a fraction of the price of course.. not bad in my book
Rich burgundy hue. Minerally gravel dominates the nose. Rich and fruity in the mouth but with plenty of tannic grip on the end to balance.
External Reviews for Clerc Milon Pauillac
This is a delicious lighter Clerc with currant blackberry and mineral character. Medium body with good density and a good fresh finish. 58% cabernet sauvignon 27% merlot 12% cabernet franc 2% petit verdot and 1% carm
Displays a strong tobacco leaf edge from the start, along with smoke and singed balsam wood notes, all weaving around a core of dark plum and black cherry fruit. A touch firm in the end right now, but shows very good range.-J.M. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2011 Clerc Milon 3000ml
50% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot, 11% cabernet franc, 2% petite verdot, 1% carmenere. Very dark ruby, bordering on purple at the core. The bouquet gives off complex notes of red and black fruit, coffee, dark chocolate and cigar. Medium to full bodie... John Sweeney. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Clerc Milon 750ml
Rock-solid, with layers of baker's chocolate and espresso lining the steeped plum and blackberry fruit flavors while intense charcoal fills in on the hefty finish. Backward now, but showing excellent intensity and dark fruit, with a tug of singed iron on the finish. Best from 2018 through 2030. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
One the finest Clerc Milons I have ever tasted, and showing better from bottle than from barrel, this blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and the rest a tiny bit of Carmenere and Petit Verdot has a complex nose of cedar wood, red and black fruits, white chocolate and creme de cassis. A very powerful wine at 14.5% natural alcohol (quite high for a Medoc), this wine has impressive purity and texture, a full-bodied mouthfeel, relatively sweet tannin, but an already endearing complexity, length and richness that are hard to ignore. This is a superb effort and one of the wines that is usually reasonably priced among the classified growths.
Moderately saturated ruby-red. Expressive complex aromas of cassis dark chocolate cedar lead pencil tobacco and fresh herbs. Velvety and fine-grained in the mouth with energetic dark fruit flavors accented by flowers cedar and fresh herbs. Finishes with ripe tannins and excellent sneaky length. I like the impression of sheer size and fresh fruit. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
Offers a more rounded feel, with cassis, black licorice and plum sauce carried by very supple but substantial tannins and terrific acidity. The long finish has a solid tarry edge. Tasted non-blind. -J.M. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Clerc Milon 1500ml
* *2013 Bordeaux Future. Delivery Fall 2016.*"A light toasty note sits atop the plum and currant fruit for now, with alder and juniper accents lining the slightly taut finish. Seems rather tight and backward today, featuring a plum skin edge that holds sway on the finish. Shows good stuffing for the vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenère. Tasted non-blind."Wine Spectator* *We will notify you on arrival. Summer 2016.*
