This wine gives me a Rhoner. In which I mean that it tastes like a GSM blend except this is 100% Syrah. Not much else to say. It's definitely a decent wine. It's less of a sipper and more of a food wine. I paired it with Olive/Pepperoni pizza.

Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. While its scattered suggestions of pepper and ripe berries might bring this bottling a grudging note of Syrah identity, its fruit is all too frontal, and the wine runs to stiffness and coarse tannins after a rounded start. If likely to soften in time, it lacks the real filling to encourage hopeful aging.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.
