Clayhouse Vineyard Red Bordeaux Blend Paso Robles Hillside Cuvée 2007
24% Chenin Blanc, 17% Chardonnay, 16% Roussanne, 11% Viognier"The Adobe White is a proprietary blend with a golden straw color, and fine floral notes of orange blossom and rose petal. Pear and apple aromas, and a varietal Chenin Blanc character, are also apparent. The full mouthfeel is rounded out by the structure of the Roussanne. The finish is crisp, but balanced with a bit of residual sugar. The mouthwatering fruit flavors are of red apple and stone fruit." - Winery NotesCheese Pairings: Gruyere, Emmental, VacherinFood Pairings: Crab Cakes, White Fish, Curries

Great wine to introduce to people. The floral aromas are very strong and can be smelled as soon as the bottle is opened. Great summer wine.
yummmm. yummmm. yummmm. Had it last night with Thai food. delicious!!! My favorite patio and hard white mild cheese wine.
This is one of the vineyards that stood out during our annual trip to California. The Clayhouse Petite Sirah 2007 is an excellent wine. This region is big agriculture and Paso Robles is not a great tourist destination if you are into B&B's, but the wines are excellent, while prices are affordable. We tend to stay in Sonoma (great vineyards), visit Napa (also great vineyards, but overcrowded) and now plan to visit Paso Robles each year. I suspect in time their prices will rise, but right now you can get some excellent wines at half the price of similar grade wines to the north. Next on our list is Oregon....

This Petite Sirah comes from some of the oldest plantings in Paso Robles. The wine has good tannins, it's rich in dark fruit of black plums with spicy black pepper, brown sugar and vanilla.
Supertangy, with mouthwatering orange, lemon, peach, green apple and fresh-cut grass flavors. Drink now. 3,600 cases made. -MWAlmost entirely stainless steel-fermented and aged, there's just a touch of oak complexity with the pure citrus, gooseberry and fig flavors of this dry, crisply acidic wine. A touch of Chenin Blanc and Roussanne add richer notes of honeysuckle and peach. - S.H.
Clayhouse Sauvignon Blanc exhibits a bouquet of orange blossom, pineapple, lemon grass, peach and hints of guava. Theres a touch of minerality that enhances the slightly floral notes contributed by the Musque clone. The blend includes 7% floral-enhancing Chenin Blanc to boost floral character, and 2%.
