- Totally opaque, purple, crimson and black colour. The nose is a touch restrained and displays aromas of spice, liquorice, plum, violets, confectionery and a hint of 'animal'. The palate structure is tight, with flavours of sweet plum, blackcurrant, liquorice and meat extract emerging. The tannin structure is firm and dry, adding to the tight knit qualities of the wine, and somewhat shortening the length of flavour profile of the palate. The wine needs time to develop. Cellar 8 - 10 years.
