Whilst the bouquet was French, the palate is back home in Australia. The fruit flavors dominate with sour cherries and plums being the most obvious. This is a particularly full bodied and weighty Pinot Noir with a multitude of flavors. The smoky characters evident on the nose are still there as well as some stalky notes as well. The wine changes its character as you swirl it around, with several layers of flavors. This wine has plenty of structure at the finish. There is finely grained, high pixel tannins combining with sharp and crisp acid. As a result the finish lingers on well after the wine has left read more...
