Clarendon Hills Brookman Vineyard Syrah(2004)

This old vineyard consistently produces very attractive, well balanced wine with no rough edges, just perfume style and elegance. Ages very well. Aristocratic!

A black, sexy beast, the 2004 Syrah Brookman (aged in 50% new French oak) offers up amazingly full-bodied, intense, blackberry fruit intermixed with notions of roasted coffee, flowers, and creme de cassis. Full-bodied, rich, beautifully textured, opulent, and long, it should drink well for 10-15 years. It appears to be slightly more forward than it was last year. -Wine Advocate

Silky black fruits are the stars here -- blackberry, black currant, dark plum. With licorice and warm baking spices emerging on the smooth, generous finish. Ready to drink now and over the next 10+ years.
