Like paint and leather aromas, new wood, dark fruit Very acidic, dark astringent like, tannic, fruit is not prevalent

Red currant and fresh bread (like fresh fruit tart) on the nose as well as red cherry, and suggestions of raspberry and strawberry. Light vanilla and cassis later on the nose. Some very slight anise and some earth. On the palate, it's got a nice rich texture but remains medium bodied. Pure red fruit flavors, flaky pastry crust, currant, cassis, black cherry and slight anise notes. Some cranberry and very light pomegranate as well. Only the slightest earth. It's got nice fruit and is a great value for 2005 Bordeaux. Still drinking nicely. This was a 375ml even. 88 pts. 7/2/12

Big, lush ripe, dark cherries with oak, spice and zesty, with a little air, becomes perfumed with crushed flowers, lilac, softens, with a dry, yet intriguing finish. I would give it a solid 3.5 stars if they chose a better label for the bottle :-)
