To make a white wine that lives up to the Clancy’s name, they blend Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, which are wonderfully complementary varieties. Barossa Semillon gives depth and structure while Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc provides the zesty, tropical characters so popular in this contemporary style. The green tinged, pale lemon colour leads to an aroma of freshly picked tropical fruits, gooseberries and mandarins. The palate is delicate with a refreshing crisp dry finish. Serve lightly chilled for a great sip any time of day. It is a great accompaniment to shellfish, pan fried fish and many Thai and Chinese dishes.
