On the White Bluffs overlooking the last free-flowing stretch of the mighty Columbia River, visionary Russell Claar planted eight acres of wine grapes in 1979. That block of Riesling has since developed into more than 90 acres under the stewardship of daughter Crista and her husband Bob Whitelatch.
Lots of stone fruit aromas catch the nose of this fruity Sauvignon Blanc. Peaches, apricots and mangoes are followed by notes of white pear and pineapple. The mouth is round with touches of exotic fruits and is vibrant on the finish. It is an excellent wine for any shellfish, shrimp and sushi or as an aperitif.
