Cirque du Vin 2010

External Review by eVintner Wines and Spirits:

A deep purple hue leads to an assortment of herbs and spices, dark fruits, and hints of vanilla and menthol. Soft acidity and light tannins buoy fresh strawberries on the front of the palate followed by raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries

Cirque du Vin:
Cirque du Vin is a wine produced by Peachy Canyon winery in Paso Robles, California. It was created as a Bordeaux meets Rhone blend with a touch of Zinfandel to give it a local accent. It consists of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Zinfandel, 16% Petit Sirah, 16% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec. This wine is said to boast flavors and structures as “lively as a three-ring circus.”
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
