Ciro Bianco Librandi Librandi Antonio E Nicodemo 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

87 Points Wine Enthusiast. `This Calabria based producer is a tireless advocate of indigenous grapes such as Gaglioppo and has skillfully produced a southern Italian red with the sweeter ripe red fruit aromas one would expect with delicate cola and mineral tones as well. Winery Notes: Our entire history can be summed up in this wine produced from the Gaglioppo grapes that have thrived in the vineyards of Ciro or Krimissa as it was known to the ancient world for three thousand years. It was from this same vine grown in this same soil that our ancestors made the famous wine offered to Milo of Crotone when he won the Olympic Games. The Librandi family follows ancient tradition in the making of Ciro Rosso reviving a hint of our glorious past.

Labrandi has grown grapes for four generations and in the 50s began botling as well. Read less
