Cinzano Extra Dry Premier L NV

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

Pale straw color. Nose is vibrant and brimming with off-dry, slightly candied and metallic scents of pine tar and damp vegetation. On the palate, it’s clean and keenly off-dry. Aftertaste smacks of roots and tree bark. Round, carefree and beguiling.

The appearance is riverstone/silver and bright; perfect clarity. The initial nosing passes pick up yeasty/doughy scents that are fresh, fabric-like, and dry; following further aeration not very much happens on the aroma side of the ledger. The palate entry is fresh, sinewy, lean, and acutely mineral-like; at the midpalate stage, the flavor profile accelerates on the desert dry front, becoming even dried and more minerally. Squeaky dry and utterly refreshing.

An almost colorless Vermouth with an appealing sweet, herbal-floral nose. The body is on the light side, and the palate is very wine-like, almost grapey, with some very faint notes that show better in the dry finish.
