The pale flax/oyster color is brilliant and unblemished. The first sniffs detect keenly herbal, minerally, and grassy notes that become waxy and lipstick/lip balm-like in the later inhalations after additional aeration. The palate entry is engagingly ripe, grapy, and sweet; at the midpalate point, the acidity kicks in, keeping the ripe fruit from becoming too sweet and the stone/mineral flavor also accelerates, making for terrific warm weather quaffing. Heck, I’d enjoy this beauty simply served chilled on its own with a twist of lemon or orange. Absolutely delightful.
At the heart of the world’s favorite spirited beverages you will find Cinzano, recognized by its signature blue and red label and 250-year tradition of excellence. With classic appeal and versatile brands, Cinzano’s legacy is sure to continue for generations to come. In 1757 CINZANO’s two visionary brothers, Giovanni Giacomo and Carolo Stefano Cinzano, Master Distillers, opened a small shop in Turin where a dream soon became a reality. As their traditional Vermouth production rapidly increased, so did their reputation for exceptional quality. Cinzano is the finest tasting imported vermouth for many leading wine and spirits connoisseurs. Its proprietary herb-infused recipe has remained unchanged since 1757. Cinzano is the ideal cocktail mixer and is one of the most frequently used ingredients in renowned cocktails around the world. Production Area Piedmont, Italy Vinification The recipe for Cinzano is a well-kept secret. It is produced from high quality wine and blended with a proprietary selection of wild herbs, spices, barks and flowers. Color Pale straw Bouquet Sweet aromas of fresh herbs, lemon and spice Taste Rich, refreshing citrus fruit flavors Alcohol 15% Serving Suggestions Serve well chilled on the rocks, with tonic or fruit juices. The nose on this almost colorless Vermouth shows a good balance of candy sweetness marries to delicate spices and herbal bouquets. The body is a little thin, but the palate is very well balanced, although the sweeter notes predominate here. The finish is light and sweet.
Cinzano Bianco is a fragrant, full-bodied and delicate aromatized wine prepared in accordance to an original recipe. It is an extremely versatile sweet vermouth that can be served either as an aperitif or as a cocktail ingredient, but should always be well chilled.
