Cinquante Cinq Viognier 2008 - The french have this amber colored light weight wine right. I get a crisp dried country peach/straw nose. It's mid-palate is a little to robust for me, however it makes for a good sipping wine in the warm summer. I didn't open this wine on the right day...it's not a rainy weather wine w/ cheddar and Gouda wine :( I would give it a 7 out of 10 tho. Nice example of this varietal.

My fave white in a while. Fantastic rush of Haribo Peach candies -- you know the ones -- coming on strong on the midpalate and lasting through the finish. Nose a little tight which makes the sippy sip that much more surprising. GREAT QPR and I'm typing about the '07 here.
