What to Expect

Verdicchio comes from the Marche region of Italy where it is responsible for white wines that are high in acid and exhibit a classic bitter almond and mineral note that compliment the grape's lemon and apple fruit.

Really offers up wonderful notes of smoke, mineral and salt over gentle floral and crisp white pear and peach fruit. Soft entry, lots of rich pear fruit up front with the acidity gaining a little firmness and soft almond tones on the mid-palate and back end where the zesty mineral cut asserts itself. The finish is soft and long with almond and mineral tones. This is a soft wine that is ideally suited to fattier white fish and veal dishes. 88pts

Pears and figs on a lightly mineral nose. Creamy texture, with green apples dominating. Oily and mouthfilling. Finishes on menthol notes.

A very complex white. Gamey and funky on the nose with an acidic but dark flavor and some spice. Really enjoyable.

Grainy aroma, weeds, very floral. Melons and peaches make up the mildly fruity body, which is dry and not very tart. A little too metallic for me, but very good otherwise.
