Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Rosso di Montalcino 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Producer notes: Mostly Sangiovese. Ruby red. Fruity, lightly herbal and enriched by hints of spices. This wine is ready for drinking, full bodied, quite soft and balanced. Food pairings: this is a very versatile wine and can match all courses of a meal, especially meat-based courses, salami and cheese. Not yet reviewed; Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate) wrote this on the 2010 vintage: The 2010 Toscana IGT is a rich, juicy wine bursting with dark fruit. A hearty, tasty red, the Toscana to is best enjoyed in its youth for its immediacy. Cherry jam, spices and cloves are all layered into the intense, ripe finish. This is a delicious wine for the money. The Toscana is Sangiovese with dollops of Merlot and Syrah. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
