Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello di Montalcino Vigna di Pianrosso 1996

Winemaker's Notes:

"...one of the sweetest, sexiest, most complete and complex I have tasted. A dark plum/garnet color is accompanied by a sweet perfume of soy, leather, earthy black fruits, smoke, tobacco, and licorice. Complex, full-bodied, and moderately tannic, yet sweet, with plenty of glycerin, and a creamy, fat mid-section, it should drink well for 12-15 years...92" WA 10/01

The wine officially got its name In the mid-1900s, when Alberto Piccolomini d’Aragona wed Elda Ciacci, countess of the property who oversaw its winemaking operations.
