Churchill's 10 Year Old Tawny Port NV
Churchill County’s first vineyard was established in 2001 with ten different varieties of fine wine grapes seven miles south of Fallon, Nevada. Fallon is located in the high desert Lahontan Valley area. The climate is similar to that of Eastern Washington state. Churchill Vineyards is Nevada’s second licensed winery and first “Estate Winery.” In September 2004 Churchill Vineyards successfully created its first vintage of premium estate wines.
External Reviews for Churchill's 10 Year Old Tawny Port
Boasts youthful aromas of red fruits, with just a hint of golden raisins and toffee. Strikes a fine balance between vigorous young fruit and aged notes of caramel and raisin.
Very subtle with custard, flan and hints of fruit and caramel. Medium-bodied, with a light sweetness and a nutty, light toffee aftertaste. Made for hard cheese. Churchill knows how to make very good Port. Drink now.
Sweet and mild aromas are highlighted by a touch of fresh prune. The mouthfeel is buttery, with plenty of toffee/coffee flavors poking through. Although it's a tad simple and straightforward, as a whole there is nothing not to like about this easy-to-drink Port.
