Churchill Vintage Port 2011

External Review by We Speak Wine:

Offers intense aromas and flavors of violet, cherry and dark plum, showing an almost exotic velvety nature, with loads of cream and spice accents. Delivers notes of chocolate and vanilla extract on the explosive finish. Very alluring. Best from 2030 through 2060. - Wine Spectator Magazine 97 Points** Only 3 in Stock **

Dry tannins and great concentration are followed by sweet fruits, damson juice and a rich core of powerful tannins. This intensity is lightened by the sweetness of black currants, but ultimately this impressive wine is dry. R.V. - Wine Enthusiast Magazine 91 PointsMedium ruby. High-toned, rather spirity nose offers pepper, herbs, nuts and a whiff of furniture polish. Very ripe but a bit disjointed in the mouth, with blackberry and fig flavors carrying a heavy load of nutty oak, as well as some spiky acidity. Finishes with firm, slightly drying tannins. There's something a bit advanced here, which makes it hard to predict a positive evolution for this wine. - Stephen Tanzer 87 Points

A classic well-balanced Port with dried black fruit and blackberry confiture profile. Enjoy with dark chocolate raspberry truffles or runny triple crème cheeses.
