Churchill Port Churchill's Dry White NV

Winemaker's Notes:

Like all other Churchill's Ports, The component wines of this 10 years old Dry White Port blend have been vinified in traditional granite lagares or treading tanks where the carefully selected and hand-picked grapes are gently macerated and fermented to extract the very best of their potential whilst still retaining a little of their residual sugar. The wines are then matured in seasoned oak vats for a period of 10 years and then blended before bottling. A vibrant golden colour with grated nutmeg and eucalyptus on the nose. On the palate it is fresh and complex with a long peppery finish. This dry white port has a beautiful, rich golden colour due to its 10 years of age, and then on the palate it gets even better. Smooth, complex and pure. Lovely.

Churchill Vineyards:
Churchill County’s first vineyard was established in 2001 with ten different varieties of fine wine grapes seven miles south of Fallon, Nevada. Fallon is located in the high desert Lahontan Valley area. The climate is similar to that of Eastern Washington state. Churchill Vineyards is Nevada’s second licensed winery and first “Estate Winery.” In September 2004 Churchill Vineyards successfully created its first vintage of premium estate wines.
