Churchill Douro Red Portugal 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Churchill 2011 Douro Red is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Roriz. About 30% is aged for 12 months in both new and old French oak casks while the remainder is kept in stainless steel vats to maintain its fruity character combined with the oak complexity from the wines in casks. This Portuguese red offers complex aromas of wild berries and resinous notes on the nose. On the palate, pure, elegant fruit flavors with excellent acidity and a long, structured finish. Pairs well with red meat and pasta dishes.
