Chumeia Zinfandel Paso Robles Dante Dusi Vineyard 2005

Member Review by CalKid:

This is sitting in the cellar waiting for the right time. The 2004 was phenomenal. we are members of Chumeias wine club because of their Dusi Zin and their 2002 Merlot. Hard to find a really choice merlot you know. too bad the following vintages haven't quite succeeded that varietal Anyhoo, the winemaker's notes ensure us the 2005 is just as good as the 2004, and so we wait for what I don't know, but the time will announce itself.

This was excellent. Full of berries with a very soft mouth feel once it opened up. It did become a little sweet after awhile in the class but not overly so. If you decide to try this wine, remember that it is not filtered, so you need to ether decant it carefully or strain it. There was probably a good tablespoon or more of sediment in the bottle.
