Chryseia Douro Red Prats & Symington 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

"An elegant and monolithic red, pure and powerful, with hints of lushness to the concentrated red plum, raspberry and dark currant flavors. This is filled with black olive and baker’s chocolate notes, backed up by grippy tannins. Finishes with refined accents of slate and white pepper. Best from 2016 through 2022...97" WS 5/13

Weingut: Prats & Symington LdaRegion: DouroRebsorte: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Touriga NacionalInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14,25 Vol.%Fassreife: in Barriques gereift (8 Monate) Rotwein > Portugal > Porto e Douro

Powerful and ripe, like a dry Port, with loads of dark plum, dark cherry, dark chocolate and vanilla flavors. Intense, with plenty of tannins, but within bounds and showing an underlying sense of finesse and elegance. Just a baby now. Best from 2007 ... Wine Spectator. A Port wine from Douro in Portugal. 2003 Prats & Symington Chryseia 750ml
