Chrysalis Vineyards Norton Barrel Select 2007

Member Review by dfelt:

I will hand it to the wine maker, for such a young wine this is excellent. If you want a true 5 out of 5 then go for their Best, Chrysalis Vineyards Norton-Locksley Reserve 2005. This has the same potent depth that the 2003 had. You will find a solid fruit forward nose, great legs and a long finish that only gets better the longer it decants. The wine maker does those of us that enjoy a BIG RED WINE proud by holding off till after 4 years of aging. This is another keeper for your wine cellar up to 20 years. Back to this Norton Barrel select, This is a wine that I would oepn with friends and family before dinner with cheeses, during dinner with a nice salt crusted Beef Kabob and after dinner with some ultra smooth dark chocolate. At $29.00 a bottle, very solid enjoyment! Go for it.
