Chloe Chardonnay 2015

Member Review by connie7899:

Agree with previous rater, vin0vin0 but did not get the smoke. Adding to that, it gave me a bit of a headache with one glass. Good staying power in the fridge.

Fairly simple and a bit over oaked. Not much else going on here but the oak, not much fruit or acidity and a touch of smoke on the nose. There's hints of lemon and green apple but it's overwhelmed by the wood.

Love this Chardonnay, it has a very soft feel on the palate, not to much citrus or acid, buttery melon, & velvety oak.

Made by winemaker Georgetta Dane, this white is awash in kumquat and vanilla, the medium-bodied layers of texture soft and round and accessible to a broad range of palates.

A tasty, under-the-radar, sleeper selection, Chole’s 2012 Chardonnay is a great value. Notes of orange blossoms, white currants, and delicate pineapple are presented in a medium-bodied, fresh, creamy, elegant style. Enjoy it over the next several years.

Chloe 2012 Sonoma County Chardonnay is crafted from grapes grown primarily in Sonoma's Russian River Valley. Chloe winemaker Georgetta Dane has highlighted the structure and depth of this fruit by using new and used oak as a secondary presence, rather than the focus, to showcase ripe, clean flavors of fresh citrus, apple, pear with notes of creamy butter and a hint of vanilla. The resulting wine is exceptionally well-balanced with sophisticated intensity, a creamy mid-palate and long finish. The opulent, rich flavors coaxed from the grapes with soft oak integration is achieved through a combination of stainless steel and oak fermentation. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged on oak, resulting in an elegant California Chardonnay with a silky finish. - Winery
