Chiroubles Trenel Beaujolais Medium Bodied Gamay 2007

Member Review by Diderot:

This amazingly quaffable Beaujolais is grapy and a little dusty. It was utterly delicious with charcuterie and a baguette. I found it thinner in style (less viscous) than most wines, with sweet grapiness, and an almost purple, dark color. I have drunk zillions of Beaujolais over the years and it's easily the most drinkable of all. Amazing stuff. Chiroubles is a favorite of mine, mainly for the flavors and texture. While this wine will not win awards for richness or elegance, or last for decades, it just tastes like more, and more....
