Chimney Rock New Pages Describing another release of the Chimney Rock Elevage as "elegant" is like describing the latest line-up for the Yankees as "talented." Of course it's true, but it's not really news. Still every time a new vintage emerges, the amazing richness, sensual mouthfeel and impeccable balance come as a revelation of what great and careful winemaking can achieve. Ruby red Cocoa, black currant, black cherry and a hint of cinammon spice Luscious texture, delicate tannins with a balanced and long finish Vintage: 2003 Type: Red Wine, Stags Leap DistrictGrape Variety Used: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc Alcohol Level: 14.1% Dates Grapes Picked: September-October, 2003 Fermentation: Each variety was fermented separately in stainless steel tanks with variable skin contact time. Length/Type of Aging: 18 months in new French Oak Just Released Not yet reviewed

Big dark fruits, smooth tannins and a great finish! I didn't get too much spice but it was a great wine. Wish it could be a daily drinker for me :) Thanks Beth & David for a great B-day present!
