This is comparable to the 2004 vintage which is still going strong. It has a unique smokey quality and hints of various berry flavors. Hints of dark chocolate jump out just before the gentle tannins take over. A wonderful long finish just goes on and on making you remember this wonderful wine for some time.

Marked by hefty tannins, this Cabernet is a little too astringent to drink now. With blackberry, currant and mineral flavors, it should develop for a while, but it could go downhill quickly, so it's a gamble. - S.H. Wine Enthusiast. This wine has a brightness in its fruit character which is seductive. Lush aromas of cherry cola, cassis and a slight hint permeate the aromatics.

Winemaker's Notes:

Dark red with purple undertones. Beautiful dark fruit aromas of blackberry, huckleberry. Vanilla, cedar, black currant, toffee and even a hint of lavender and violets appear in this seductive wine. The first sip of this wine brought to mind the sense of luxury. Lush, full, round, elegant -- with a subversively long finish, it has in body as much to offer as the enigmatic aromas.
