A little too acidic for my me. I've never tasted "freshly cut grass" but imagine this is what it must taste a bit like.
Didnt like so much. Too acidic (I think), too much pine taste?? Had with salmon.
Good clarity. Lemon peel. Citrus, grapefruit, with hints of vanilla. Not fantastic but good summer wine.

Chimney Creek is the export label for the Giesen Wine Estate of New Zealand. Though this winery has its origins near Christchurch, this is a great value Sauvignon from Marlborough, with just a splash of other fruit from Gisborne, adding an extra fuller and riper dimension.Tasting Notes : Ripe tropical fruit, citrus and dried herbs flavours with a crisp and refreshing acidity.Method of Production : The grapes were destemmed, crushed, pressed and the juice cold settled. Fermentation occurred in temperature controlled stainless steel for three to five weeks after which the wine was fined, filtered and bottled under screw cap.
