Followed Tensley 2002. No decanted drank over an hour. No detailed notes, but tasted zin. Not very zin-like. Moderate fruit. Would not purchase again.

Wine Tasting NotesA great Zinfandel is a food-lover's best friend; it easily goes spicy ribs to tangy cheese to dark chocolate. This is the biggest Giana made to date off of the vines that surround our house. It is a medium purple color, with pitched aromas of honeysuckle, raspberries, cola and mint. It has a sweet and very broad palate that has a real bubblegum entry before fanning out into clove, cinnamon, bittersweet chocolate and briary Zinberry fruit. The 16+ percent alcohol is well balanced by bright acidity.
