In der Nase etwas Erdbeeren, deutliches und festes Holz. Am Gaumen eine dichte Struktur, leicht fleischig, ausgeprägte aber angenehme Säure bei guter Fruchtsüsse. Abgang sehr eindrucksvoll, Pflaumen, viele Fruchtsüsse, angenehme Säure, sehr lang.
Seit 1435 gehört das Weingut Castello di Fonterutoli der Familie Mazzei. Sie sind heute noch tief verwurzelt mit dem Chianti classico Gebiet. Diese Nähe zu ihrem Terroir spürt man auch im Wein. Die Sangiovese-Traube wird klassisch, elegant und komplex ausgebaut. In der Nase etwas Erdbeeren, deutliches und festes Holz. Am Gaumen eine dichte Struktur, leicht fleischig, ausgeprägte aber angenehme Säure bei guter Fruchtsüsse. Abgang sehr eindrucksvoll, Pflaumen, viel Fruchtsüsse, angenehme Säure, sehr lang.
