What to Expect

The Gamay grape finds it's home in France's Burgundy region where it is responsible for the red wines of Beaujolais. Producing light to medium bodied wines with modest tannins and good acidity, Gamay is unfairly associated with Beaujolais Nouveau. It is capable of producing wonderful, cherry and raspberry flavored wines with earthy hints of violets and spice.

Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter Vivid fruit scents filled out with a warm stony meatiness: complex and compelling. On the palate this is big, masterful and mouthfilling, with perfectly managed tannins and explosive fruits. Drink 2008-13.
