Chehalem Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Stoller Vineyard 2001

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A bit autumnal on the nose with faded fruit and vanilla tones backed with leafy, loamy soil notes and hints of sweet meat and rootbeer candy. On the palate this offers up rich, almost jammy black raspberry fruit with a touch of almost peppery spice that follows through on the moderately long finish. The tannins are a touch astringent and pop a bit on the finish as the fruit fades in the mouth. A good time to be drinking this. 89pts

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
