CHEHALEM Winery is known for Pinot Noir, but also equivalently for white wines. And we’re proud of that, speaking eloquently to the first half of a meal as well as the last half. Over half of production is white, ranging from Riesling, our passion in several styles, to ground-swelling new Oregon Chardonnay, Pinot Gris which we do exceptionally well, and to exciting smaller productions of Grüner Veltliner and Pinot Blanc— everything grown sustainably on our three estate vineyards: Ridgecrest, Stoller and Corral Creek.  The climate and our winemaking style reveal wines that emphasize balance, elegance and texture rather than power and size. This openness allows the vintage and three terroirs on which we sustainably farm in the Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills and Chehalem Mountains to express themselves, not with words but with wines of startling distinction. Mature vineyards, mature winemaking, consistently great wines. Read less

About as perfectly balanced chardonnay as you can get. Hints of oak, butter, lemon, butterscotch, grapefruit, subtle alcohol (13.5%), nice acidity and a great finish. Wife says a little too creamy but I love it.
