Chateauneuf du Pape les Sinards. Perrin et Fils 2012
Apple, a little apple butter and bitter almond notes greet the nose with a vaguely cinnamon/allspice top note. This is quite fruity in the mouth and perhaps a touch sweet. Very smooth and soft, this is an easy wine to drink and its ripe apple, pear and fennel flavors are attractive and well balanced. Bright and juicy, this gains good focus on the moderately long finish. A bit simple and easy but attractive. 87ptsAdd winemaker's notes
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

2007 thin acrid and overripe, but cheap. 50% Grenache, %50 syrah, both grown in the wrong place and harvested at the wrong time.
Another gem from Perrin et fils. This one is from the vaunted 2010 vintage (S. Rhone) and does not disappoint with a bouquet of cherry pie and Creamsicle. The Grenache dominance makes for more sweet cherry on the palate with little tannin or acidity in evidence. This is an excellent, well-priced product that would please any taste bud. The only detraction: a little thin in terms of finish and structure. Try the village wines for an improvement in this latter characteristic. Drink now or over the next year or two. 89-90 points.
Peaches and honey intermix here though the palate is dry and zingy acidity rings through on the finish. Good balance and structure.
My Rating 89: this is a good example of a good Cotes Du Rhone. Firm body with complex ingrediants, Nose long and interesting. Complexity ! Price wa $ 10 at Costco Orlando

Two and a half glasses
overly oaked. medium bodied, large fruit (apples, pears, etc on the nose) the mouthfeel in the end leaves you feeling too much alcohol but it's not cloying.

Lush and inviting, with smoldering black tea weaving through the fleshy layers of melted fig, hoisin sauce, plum preserves and blackberry pudding. The dark ganache-coated finish has serious grip. Best from 2014 through 2025. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
Another top value is the 2010 Cotes du Rhone Reserve red, a blend of 50% Grenache from their vineyards at Grand Prebois (adjacent to the Beaucastel estate), 20% Syrah from further north in Vinsobres, and the balance Carignan, Cinsault and other permitted grapes. The wine offers abundant amounts of red and black fruits intermixed with hints of tobacco leaf, earthy soil, pepper and spice. This supple-textured, delicious red is exactly what one expects of a very good Cotes du Rhone.
Bright ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of raspberry, cherry and dried flowers. Juicy and open-knit, offering lush red and dark berry compote flavors that pick up spiciness with air. Closes with very good energy and lift, with supple tannins lending shape and grip.
Deep ruby. Cherry and dark berries on the pungent nose. Offers gently sweet blackberry and cherry flavors and picks up slight bitterness with air. Finishes on a smoky note, with good energy and a touch of bitter cherry.
The Perrin et Fils Cotes Du Rhone Villages is a 60/40 blend of Grenache and Syrah in the 2010 vintage. Very serious for the price, the wine shows impeccable balance between fruit character, mineral components, and lush mouth-feel.
A beautiful deep red hue that seems almost opaque. The nose shows caramel and spices that mingle with red berry fruit. The palate is full and deep, with fine tannins and good length.
A round easy style with a dusting of grilled herb over the open-knit red and black cherry fruit. There’s a stony hint on the finish which fills out nicely in the glass. Grenache Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now.
