Good rich rose (cab franc?) with great red fruits. Fairly full bodied for a rose, some decent tannins, just a slightly hot finish.

Ruby-red. Intense red berry aromas, with complicating notes of orange peel and potpourri. Suave and silky on the palate, with red fruit flavors taking on a lavender aspect with air. The very long and wonderfully sweet finish features fine-grained tannins and a persistent raspberry note.
Shows the fresh herb, tobacco and black cherry profile of the vintage, with an undertow of briar and tobacco. The long, sappy finish lets fresh acidity carry the day. This should age nicely, as there's nice dark fruit in reserve. Best from 2010 through 2029.
Charvin's 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape has turned out to be one of the vintage's top efforts. Lovely sweet notes of glove leather, roasted meats, spice box, ground pepper, kirsch, and raspberries are present in this deep, full-bodied 2006. More evolved than the 2007, with copious concentration, elegance, and a Burgundy grand cru-like complexity as well as freshness, it should be enjoyed over the next 12-15+ years.
Bright ruby. A strikingly complex bouquet of red and dark berries, kirsch, Asian spices and garrigue Very pure, fresh raspberry and blackberry flavors supported by a sexy undercurrent of tangy minerals. A candied floral quality builds on the finish, which refuses to let go. Impresses with elegance and clarity rather than brute force.
Peppery and earthy, with notes of roasted herbes de Provence, sweet cherry jam, the seaweed wrapper used in sushi bars (nori) with a touch of fig, the soft, round, generously endowed, complex 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape shows a dark garnet color and plenty of glycerin, alcohol, and fruit. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

Forward and lush for the vintage, with dark currant and fig paste flavors backed by licorice, coffee, garrigue and braised beef notes. The long, smoky finish has a lingering touch of mesquite. The profile is black fruit, but the structure is remarkably elegant for the vintage, with lovely poise. Drink now through 2023.
