Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee Roger Sabon 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

"Richly textured, with dense linzer torte, cassis and fig paste notes, but also perfumy, with toasty anise and smoky black tea notes that weave through the finish. Offers a lovely combination of power and finesse. Best from 2012 through 2022...93" WS 9/11 "...stunning aromatics of framboise, mulled black cherry, red licorice, and touches leather. More garrigue and red fruit emerges from this medium to full-bodied beauty with air, and the wine possesses loads of texture and fruit that.s focused beautifully by fine tannin on the finish. This gets more and more impressive with air and I think has some upside potential. While theres no harm in drinking now, I would give bottle 2-3 years in the cellar. I think it will easily have 10-15 years of prime drinking...93+" RR 09/11
