Chateauneuf du Pape Caves St. Pierre 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Chateauneuf du Pape Caves St. Pierre 2005 is a blend of traditional Rhone grape varieties - Grenache for mellowness on the tongue, Syrah which adds depth to the colour and Mourvèdre to supply the tannins that give it its longevity. It has a deep rich purple colour with scents of raspberries, spices and truffles. The aroma is complex yet harmonious and the flavour is full-bodied, well-balanced and generously smooth. It is drinking well now but will mature well for another 5 - 6 years.
