bright acidity, citrus fruit and some vanilla, enriching mouthfeel, some golden apples on the palate, warm acidic finish
Funky musty nose. Light and buttery with a tiny but of nuttiness and an overall nice complexity and balance.
Thick musty nose of straw, hay and limes. Very nice mouthfeel - emollient and rich. Some gentle barnyeard and straw flavors, with quince, lime and citrus fruits. The wine has a nice long finish.
Have always enjoyed this producer. Decided to open this one early to see if I should buy some more. Somewhere it was described as "not for the modern palate" which meant I was going to like it. A bit of a barnyard nose that eventually moderated. Fruit was well balanced and finish was nice and long with only a slight bitterness towards the end. Medium to full bodied. We loved it.

This powerful, well structured wine can be consumed within the first years but also has a very good aging potential.
The brilliant 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape offers classic Provencal aromas of garrigue (that roasted herb, windswept smell of Provence), truffles, ground pepper, and kirsch.
