Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2012
A pleasant pale tint with greenish glints. The nose is intense with white peach and grapefruit tones and a touch of blackcurrant. Wonderfully crisp in the mouth and very smooth. A wine that shows a freshness, roundness and fruitiness with a good length and hints of citrus and violet.
Château La Nerthe is the oldest producer in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, producing wine since 1560. The winery has been certified organic since 1998, and is among the region’s top five wineries. La Nerthe is a leader in the art of blending, combining up to 13 varieties - so that no one dominates.

Wine Advocate ReviewLa Nerthes 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape blanc is a blend of 40% white Grenache, 8% Bourboulenc, 40% Roussanne, 12% Clairette with the Roussanne barrel-fermented and aged in wood, and the balance of the cuvee tank-fermented as well as aged. This wine reveals classic floral rose petal notes intermixed with some tangerine and lemon zest. Honeysuckle, crisp acidity, and lemon oil are all noticeable in this full-bodied, rich, but delicate and concentrated wine that should drink nicely for 4-5 years. Drink 2007 - 2012.
