Chateauneuf du Pape Auguste Favier Domaine de Saint-Prefert(2004)

The soil composition in great wine regions is neither too rich too poor. It's climate neither too dry nor too humid. The balance of these elements is the key factor for a successful great vintage.

All the grape varieties used are vinified separately. Grenache and cinsault bring warmth, colour and body. Mauvedre and syrah offer structure and ageing potential. Cournoise and picpoul enhance vinosity and freshness.

Our wines first start reveating their aromas after 18 months of maturing in oak barrels. Only raking will break this silence and rest.
