- The wines of Montagne-St.-milion makes incredibly attractive red wines at a fraction of the price of St.-milions. Satellite Bordeaux regions such as this one are hard to find but well worth searching for. This is full of violets, black plums and cherries on the palate.

im sick, so im might be unfair to this wine. it is very earthy and spicy. must be the cab franc coming through.
i dont get much berry, but it could be my stuffy nose.

- Nice light brown color shows a few years age on this bottle. Slightly spicy on the nose and finish, but I do like the deep fruit flavors. I imagine this would go well with a hearty stew.

- Interesting earthy spiciness on the nose. The attack is a little thin, but there are some deep fruits on the mid palette. The finish is of intense licorice. Still taught, decant or age some more.

- Rustic earth tones and aromas, with a hint of plum body, put this wine a notch above standard fair. I didn't find anything particularly interesting about this wine, but I'd like to try it again in a few years.
