Château Trotanoy Red Bordeaux Blend Pomerol 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2010 Trotanoy should turn out to be *as sublime as the 2008*. It is a bigger, but more backward and monolithic effort with an inky/purple color as well as abundant black fruit and foresty characteristics. Made in a decidedly tannic, masculine, structured style, *this wine is loaded*, but a decade of patience will be essential for potential purchasers."*-Wine Advocate (93-95+ points)**We will notify you on arrival Summer 2013*

With less of the soft juicy fruit qualities found in some 2010s this favors firmer mid- and backpalates. While somewhat foursquare the wine still has a core of blackberry laced fruit and also maintains an underlying structure and foundation of dry firm tannins with a robust finish. This firmer styled wine emphasizes structure over fruit. Needs time in the near term five years or so. Best between 2021-2031. Chuck Hayward.

Trotanoy Deep ruby in color flowers truffle Asian spice and earthy scented. Opulent rich supple and luxurious the refined black and red fruit wine is very strong. But it seems restrained like a race horse being held back from entering into a full gallop. This is not at the level of the other worldly 2008 or 2009. Those vintages remain the modern day reference points for Trotanoy. Jeff Leve.

Pure aromas of dark fruits from raspberries to blueberries. Full bodied, with super silky tannins that are refined and elegant. The texture of this wine caresses all of your palate. Very powerful. James Suckling. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Trotanoy 750ml

Extremely formidable from the start, with a wall of tannin-driven power that pushes the core of plum, fig and blackberry fruit to the background for now. Offers loads of flesh, with the tannic surge returning on the finish. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Trotanoy 750ml
