Earthy and herbal on the nose with plenty of smoky oak, shoe polish, some tomato and a woody sweetness – rich, almost sweet fruit, a bit extracted feeling, muddy and imprecise on the mid-palate though with good density, rather stiff tannins underpinning it all (87-88)

Very dark purple color. Fresh fruity and spicy nose of ripe type. Very lovely on entry the wine instantly offers its typical unctuousness. It develops melting with taste some licorice characteristics and a superbly well-finished structure. Juicy precise on the mid-palate it ends up with lift and a complex finish. The smoothness of its flesh is marvelous while its mellowness is dynamic at the same time. Coated tannins. Very good length. A success of the vintage. Jean-Marc Quarin - www.quarin.com
