Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Classic Crisp Dry White 2008
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Editorial Reviews for Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Classic Crisp Dry White
A lot of power on the nose with intense aromas of peppercorn and liquory black raspberry fruit, with hints of vanilla, mint, bay leaf and plum. A touch thick on the palate though not at all sticky or clumsy, this delivers a rich mouthful of slightly dried/roasted fruit wrapped up in ribbons of vanilla, toasty oak and pomegranate seed. There’s enough fruit here to cover the structure, which while not huge, is still firm and well balanced, poking out a bit on the finish. Really does have a touch of elegance showing deft wine making. The finish is long, complex, burly and earthy. A very fine example. 91 pts
Big bursts of red and black fruits and oak on the nose. The palette has black raspberry jam, clove, and black pepper with a touch of baking chocolate on the finish. Intense is the word for this wine.
lots of fruit on the nose, loaded with varying dark and red berry fruit with hints of black licorice, the palate is creamy and jammy, dark chocolate lingers on the palate. gorgeous!
Port-like, macerated fruit aromas with woodsy and blackberry spiciness. Oh yeah, holy spicy fruit on the palate and a coffee-like finish.
Aromas reminiscent of port with woodsy blackberry notes. Whoa spice and fruit! The finish reveals a bit of coffee and chocolate, making this a very classic Shiraz
