Add your reviewDeep and rich berry aromas mixed with chocolate provided an intriguing opening in the bouquet. Decanting proved imperative, as there were many sediments and fines. The opaque wine, when held up to the light, looked like a deep red eclipse, with the outer edge of the oval showing very clear and the inner a translucent, mercurial, emotive red. A very silky and supple mouth feel. The berries and chocolate, as well as a slightly tangy sweet tomato, were dominant, with a flinty, graphite undertone. Pure heaven on the lips. A highly memorable 40th birthday gift!
